2 years agoThe Cincinnati Reds dealt starting pitcher Luis Castillo to the Seattle Mariners on Friday night in exchange for shortstops Noelvi Marte and Edwin Arroyo, right-hander Levi Stoudt and right-hander Andrew Moore. Marte (No. 1), Arroyo (No. 3) and Stoudt (No. 5) were all top-five prospects of the Mariners, according to MLB Pipeline, so Cincinnati really scored in a prospect-rich deal for Castillo. Marte is hitting .270/.360/.460 with an .820 OPS, 15 homers, 55 RBI and 12 steals in 84 games for High-A Everett after a slow start this year. There aren't many infielders with raw power like his, and he's shown a solid approach at the plate as well. His future home could be at third base, though. Arroyo, 18, is a switch-hitting shortstop who has done nothing but it at Low-A this year. Stoudt has struggled at Double-A, but he could eventually be a back-of-the-rotation starter for the Reds.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
