Josh Jung Homers In Second Rehab Game
2 years agoTexas Rangers third base prospect Josh Jung (shoulder) homered in the Arizona Complex League on Friday in just his second minor league rehab game. Jung, the team's No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline, is recovering from shoulder surgery in February. He looked ready to make his major league debut early this year after ending the 2021 season with a dominant effort at Triple-A Round Rock, where he hit .348 with nine home runs and a 1.088 OPS in 35 games. Jung's rehab is ahead of schedule, so if he doesn't encounter any setbacks along the way, he could return to Round Rock before the end of the minor league season.
