Matt Chapman Hits His 19th Home Run
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Matt Chapman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, one walk and a strikeout in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Detroit Tigers to continue his recent power surge. He has now hit three home runs in the last two games and is currently riding a modest eight-game hitting streak to raise his season slash line to .246/.323/.474 with 19 home runs, 55 RBI, 55 runs scored and a stolen base in 371 plate appearances over 94 games. He's been great in the month of July, going 25-for-78 (.321) with eight home runs, 20 RBI and 15 runs scored in 23 games. Needless to say, Chapman needs to be in your fantasy lineups during his hot stretch at the plate.
