Lions To Monitor D'Andre Swift's Camp Usage
2 years agoDetroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell told reporters on Friday that the team will be "smart with" starting running back D'Andre Swift and will monitor his usage in training camp to make sure he's healthy enough through the regular season. Swift has missed at least three games in both of his NFL seasons so far, but he reportedly bulked up in the offseason in order to give him a better shot at staying healthy throughout the season. When healthy, though, the 23-year-old has been solid for the Lions, rushing for 1,138 yards and 13 touchdowns on 265 carries (4.3 yards per tote) in his two seasons. He's also added 108 receptions for 809 yards and four more TDs on 135 targets. Even though some may consider him injury-prone, Swift is an easy top-10 fantasy RB entering his third year.
