Daniel Bard Signing A Two-Year Extension With The Rockies
2 years agoColorado Rockies closer Daniel Bard is signing a two-year contract extension with the Rockies on Saturday, according to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. Bard has been excellent for Colorado this season, posting a 1.91 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 43:19 K:BB ratio to go along with 21 saves over 37 2/3 innings. The 37-year-old reliever is now off the trade market, so contending teams will need to look elsewhere for bullpen help with the trade deadline right around the corner. The extension is worth around $19 million, per Feinsand.
