Giancarlo Stanton To Resume Baseball Activities This Week
2 years agoNew York Yankees skipper Aaron Boone said that outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (Achilles) should be cleared to start baseball activities "early this week." Stanton was placed on the injured list on July 26, but it doesn't look like he'll be ready to return to the team when he's eligible on Wednesday, Aug. 3. The 32-year-old slugger is dealing with left Achilles tendinitis, but he needs to remain stashed in all fantasy formats while he heals up. He's hitting just .228 on the season with a .309 on-base percentage, but he also has an .807 OPS, 24 home runs, 61 RBI and 40 runs scored in 289 at-bats for the Yanks.
