Hayden Hurst Impressing Teammates
2 years agoThe Cincinnati Bengals signed tight end Hayden Hurst to replace C.J. Uzomah, who signed with the New York Jets this offseason. Hurst struggled in 2021, in large part because of the ineptitude of the Falcons offense, producing only 26 receptions for 226 yards and three touchdowns. However, the Bengals offense will be much more potent and should offer Hurst increased opportunity. Bengals safety Michael Thomas described Hurst "as advertised," confirming he is fitting in well in his new offense. The former third-round pick will have a chance to produce a high touchdown total, leading to spike-week performances. This makes him an intriguing option as a late-round tight end that could finish inside the top 12, and an even more valuable pick in best-ball formats.
