Steelers Give Chris Boswell A Four-Year Extension
2 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers gave kicker Chris Boswell a new four-year, $20 million contract extension that includes $12.5 million guaranteed on Monday, according to his agent, Jeff Nalley. The four-year extension ties Boswell with Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker as the highest-paid kickers in NFL history. The 31-year-old kicker is one of the most reliable kickers in the game, but he won't enter the 2022 season as a must-draft player at his position due to the team's situation at quarterback in the wake of Ben Roethlisberger's retirement. He finished the 2021 season as the No. 7 fantasy kicker while making 36 of his 40 field-goal attempts and 27 of his 29 extra points in 17 games. Boswell has made at least 84 percent of his field-goal tries in six of his seven seasons.
