2 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Tarik Skubal (arm), who left his start early on Monday with left arm fatigue against the Minnesota Twins, is optimistic that he'll be able to make his next start. "I'm going to wake up tomorrow and kind of see where I'm at and then go from there. But my plan is to make my next start, assuming that I'm feeling good, which I'm pretty optimistic about that," Skubal said. The 25-year-old southpaw said "something didn't feel right" on Monday night. He tossed five shutout innings with four strikeouts before leaving and has been solid this year with a 3.52 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, 117 strikeouts and 32 walks in 117 2/3 innings over 21 starts. The Tigers could play things cautiously with Skubal, so don't bank on him making his next start.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
