James Robinson Making Daily Progress
2 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson (Achilles) is making daily progress from his Achilles injury that he suffered last December, and he started this week by taking the practice field for a few repetitions to run some routes with the offense on Monday. Robinson is still limited, but he looks to be progressing nicely in terms of being ready for the regular season. Last week, head coach Doug Pederson said he felt a return in mid-August could be an estimation for Robinson to be 100%. Pederson also said in the spring that the 23-year-old remains the starter, although Travis Etienne Jr. will see plenty of work out of the backfield as a pass-catcher. Etienne is the sexier fantasy pick, especially in PPR leagues, and has been impressive so far, but fantasy managers shouldn't forget about Robinson as an RB3/4 for depth in standard-scoring leagues.
