Brandon Marsh Heads To The Phillies
2 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies acquired outfielder Brandon Marsh from the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday, according to sources. It's currently unknown what the Phillies sent to the Angels in return. Marsh was once a top prospect coming through the farm system for the Angels, but he's struggled to the tune of a .239/.299/.354 slash line with 10 home runs, 56 RBI, 61 runs scored and 14 stolen bases in two seasons in the big leagues in 163 games played. This year, he's gone 66-for-292 (.226) with eight homers, 37 RBI, 34 runs scored and eight stolen bases and a 36.2% strikeout rate in 93 games. The 24-year-old is a buy-low MLB player for the Phillies, and he should at least see the strong side of a platoon in center field in Philadelphia.
