2 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery has embraced the potential of playing on special teams this year. Montgomery remains the team's lead back, but he's also in the final year of his contract, and special teams work is new to him. "Wherever they need me, I'm going to be ready to be there," Montgomery said. "I've never played special teams before. But I'm always down and excited to learn so I can be better." It remains to be seen if he'll actually see work as a returner on special teams during the regular season, but if he does, it might be bad news for his fantasy upside as a running back.
