2 years agoNew Orleans Saints safety Tyrann Mathieu (personal) rejoined the team at training camp on Tuesday after missing the last week for a personal family matter, according to a source. Even with Mathieu away, the Saints secondary has been perhaps the best group in camp, and now they have one of the best players back on the field. The Honey Badger is a three-time Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro and finished last year with 76 tackles (60 solo), one sack, three interceptions (one for a touchdown), six passes defensed and three fumble recoveries in 16 regular season games. With him in the fold in the Saints secondary in 2022, the New Orleans defense/special teams on the back end should be much improved.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
