2 years agoBoston Red Sox rookie right-hander Brayan Bello (groin) left his outing on Wednesday against the Houston Astros with a left groin strain. Bello was trying to eat up some innings after lefty starter Rich Hill made his return from the injured list on Wednesday, but Bello was forced out after just two-thirds of an inning pitched. There's a good chance that the 23-year-old will require a trip to the injured list, but stay tuned for more details on his injury. Bello was making just his fifth major league appearance in Wednesday's game, and he entered the contest having allowed a whopping 16 earned runs on 26 hits while walking 11 and striking out 13 in 16 1/3 innings pitched in four outings (three starts).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
