2 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Martin Perez was sharp during Wednesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. The left-hander struck out nine batters over six innings with only one earned run in a no-decision. Perez has now only allowed one run or fewer in each of his last four starts. It's also worth noting that those nine strikeouts are a career-high for the veteran starter. Somehow, Perez has changed into a completely different pitcher this season. He'll take a 2.47 ERA into a matchup with the Houston Astros next week.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
