2 years agoTexas Rangers left-hander Cole Ragans, the team's No. 29 prospect per MLB Pipeline, is in Arlington with the taxi squad on Thursday and is expected to make his major league debut against the Chicago White Sox. The former first-rounder will get his first taste of big-league hitters after going 8-5 with a 3.04 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 113 strikeouts and 31 walks in 94 2/3 innings over 18 starts for Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock this year before getting the call-up. The 24-year-old southpaw could stick in the Rangers' rotation if he performs well in his first MLB start, so he's worth a flier in deeper fantasy leagues. Ragans has often been compared to former Phillies lefty Cole Hamels because of his changeup and lanky build.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
