Mike Evans Leaves Practice With Leg Injury
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (leg) left training camp practice early on Friday with an apparent leg injury. The Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud suggests that this could be one of Evans' annual hamstring issues. Check back for updates on the specific nature of Evans' injury, but hopefully it's nothing serious. The Bucs also got good news on Friday, with Chris Godwin (knee) practicing for the first time since having surgery on his torn ACL. Evans is one of quarterback Tom Brady's top targets in the offense, so losing him for any stretch of time would be a big blow. In 16 regular season games in 2021, the four-time Pro Bowler caught 74 of his 114 targets for 1,035 yards and 14 touchdowns. Evans has 27 regular season TDs in his two years working with Brady and has recorded 1,000 yards in all eight of his NFL seasons. He's a no-doubt WR1.
