Antonio Gibson Returns To Team Drills
2 years agoWashington Commanders running back Antonio Gibson (hamstring) received his first carry of training camp in team drills on Friday and looked solid. The Commanders chose to ease Gibson into camp workouts this summer, and he has avoided any setbacks with his hamstring to this point. The 24-year-old wants to play lighter this year as he looks to hold off rookie Brian Robinson and pass-catching back J.D. McKissic. He had his first 1,000-yard rushing season in his second year in 2021, but Washington seems adamant on splitting the workload more, with Robinson in line to steal valuable short-yardage and goal-line work from Gibson. As things are trending right now, Gibson has become a very shaky RB2 for fantasy managers.
