Dustin May To Make Two More Rehab Starts
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-hander Dustin May (elbow) will need at least two more minor league rehab starts, according to manager Dave Roberts. May is scheduled to go around four innings in his next outing and then will be stretched out to five innings after that. But after two more rehab starts, May could be reinstated from the 60-day injured list and join the Dodgers starting rotation. The 24-year-old right-hander threw 62 pitches over four innings in his third rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday, and the Dodgers are bringing him along slowly after he had Tommy John surgery last May. He could be a big boost to LA's rotation when he returns, especially since Clayton Kershaw (back) is expected to land on the injured list. May struck out a career-high 13.7 hitters per nine innings in five starts last year before his injury, so he certainly has big strikeout upside in fantasy.
