2 years agoNew York Mets left-hander David Peterson has been called up from the minors and will start Game 1 of a doubleheader against the division-rival Atlanta Braves on Saturday. Although the matchup is a tough one, Peterson is worth streaming consideration in fantasy. The 26-year-old southpaw has been effective for the Mets this year with a 3.54 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 86 strikeouts and 35 walks in 73 2/3 innings over 17 appearances (13 starts) in 2022. His walk rate isn't the greatest, but he's made up for it with his 27.5 percent strikeout rate and 53.8 percent ground-ball rate. It remains to be seen if the Mets send him right back to the minors after his start on Saturday, but there's a chance he sticks around and works out of the bullpen.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
