Michael Thomas Making Progress
2 years agoNew Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen said that wide receiver Michael Thomas (ankle) was in team drills at training camp practice for the first time on Saturday and came out of them with no setbacks. Thomas even went to the ground and had no issues. So far, Thomas has looked really good at training camp after missing all of last season with a left ankle injury. He hasn't been wearing a brace or wrap on his ankle either, and although he's not quite 100 percent, Thomas is tracking to be ready for the Week 1 regular season opener. It would be unrealistic for fantasy managers to expect the 29-year-old to return to being the best receiver in the game this year, but there's a good chance he'll reclaim his role as the team's top wideout if he stays healthy. Thomas's fantasy ADP is surely to rise in the coming weeks if he continues to look good in training camp.
