D.J. Chark Looking Good At Camp
2 years agoDetroit Lions wide receiver D.J. Chark had a "monster practice" on Saturday and has reportedly been standing out during training camp thus far. The 25-year-old signed a one-year, $10 million deal with the team in March after missing most of last season with a fractured ankle. He has compiled 2,042 yards and 15 touchdowns off 147 catches since being drafted by the Jaguars in 2018, so it's obvious he has talent. However, Chark will need to build rapport with Jared Goff, with the signal-caller also needing to step things up for the wideout to be a consistent fantasy option this season. The former LSU Tiger has also battled injuries throughout his career, and he'll also be competing with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Josh Reynolds, T.J. Hockenson, Quintez Cephus, Kalif Raymond, and rookie Jameson Williams (knee) for Goff's attention. In addition, D'Andre Swift is likely to command targets out of the backfield. Nevertheless, while Chark should have some potent fantasy performances in 2022-23, he isn't expected to be a routine producer.
