Justin Dunn To Make Reds Debut Monday
2 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Justin Dunn will be recalled from Triple-A Louisville on Monday to make his debut with the team against the New York Mets. Dunn got a late start to the 2022 season due to a shoulder injury, but he completed a lengthy rehab assignment in the minor leagues and is now ready to join Cincinnati's starting rotation after they traded away Luis Castillo and Tyler Mahle recently. In eight starts for High-A Dayton and Triple-A Louisville, he had a 6.75 ERA, a 1.82 WHIP and a 24:17 K:BB in 28 innings. The 26-year-old had a decent 3.75 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 49 K's in 50 1/3 innings over 11 starts for the Seattle Mariners in 2021 and will be worth a look for rotation depth in deeper leagues since he should have a good chance at sticking in Cincy's depleted rotation.
