2 years agoAtlanta Braves right-hander Spencer Strider struggled in his most recent start on Sunday. The 23-year-old struck out five batters in 2.2 innings of work against the New York Mets but also surrendered six hits, four earned runs and a pair of walks in the process. Strider generated 12 swinging strikes against the Mets, six each with his four-seam fastball and slider. It was a rare poor outing for the right-hander who has provided both Atlanta and fantasy managers with plenty of strong production this season. In 89.2 innings, the starter has pitched to a 3.11 ERA and a 1.97 FIP while striking out 138 batters and giving up just 34 walks.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
