Kyle Hendricks Undergoes MRI On Monday
2 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks (shoulder) underwent an MRI on Monday. The right-hander is hopeful to get back on the mound before the end of the season. He has been sidelined since early June due to a lingering right shoulder issue. The MRI revealed that Hendricks hasn't been progressing well. It sounds like the two sides will determine the next step after the MRI. There's a good chance that the Cubs decide to shut down the veteran starter for the rest of the season. The team is rebuilding anyway and has no shot at the postseason. They might as well rest Hendricks and let someone younger have a chance in the rotation. Fantasy managers should have a better answer within the next few days.
