Patrick Corbin To Be Skipped In The Rotation
2 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Patrick Corbin will have his next start in the rotation skipped, according to manager Dave Martinez. The organization has an off day on Thursday, so this will allow them to execute this plan without putting any further strain on the rest of their rotation. Corbin has lost 16 games this season and holds a 7.02 ERA through 23 starts this season. The rebuilding Nats likely want to get some younger pitchers more innings down the stretch of the season. It's unknown if Corbin will pitch again this season, but he's owed $32 million for the 2023 season. This is turning out to be a nightmare contract for the Nationals.
