2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (elbow) has been hitting and is expected to begin throwing Friday. Springer has been on the IL since August 5th, although he's been dealing with the issue since late July. The hope is that his stint on the injured list will at least allow Springer to feel less pain when he plays. He could return early next week if all goes well. The fantasy stud has a .251 AVG, 18 HR, 59 R, 49 RBI, and 10 SB in 338 AB. He should remain a solid five-category contributor at the top of a strong Blue Jays lineup.
