Travis Etienne Jr. Leads Jaguars In Carries In Preseason Debut
2 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. scampered for 23 yards on a team-high nine carries while catching his lone target for 10 yards in Friday's preseason loss to the Cleveland Browns. The sophomore running back suffered a season-ending foot injury as a rookie in 2021 before he could log a single snap in the preseason, so it was great seeing him take the field for the first time. He drew the start and logged 22 snaps in his first game back on Friday. The Jaguars are expected to deploy Etienne in various ways in 2022, as he'll share the backfield workload with James Robinson. The 23-year-old should be viewed as a solid RB2 option in fantasy football as he battles back from a Lisfranc injury.
