Joey Wiemer Hits First Dinger For Triple-A Nashville
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfield prospect Joey Wiemer went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer on Friday for Triple-A Nashville. After playing his way out of Double-A with impressive power and speed numbers, Wiemer was promoted to Nashville and has hit .200 with one homer, five RBI and three stolen bases over eight games. Between Double-A and Triple-A, Wiemer has hit .239 with 16 homers, 52 RBI and 28 RBI. Although he has provided impressive power and an ability to handle the basepaths, Wiemer still needs to show more patience at the plate. His recent promotion suggests that he could get a call to the big leagues with an impressive showing, but he is more of a name for dynasty managers than redraft managers at the moment.
