2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers pitching prospect Gavin Stone suffered a loss on Friday, but still put together another impressive performance for Double-A Tulsa. Arguably the top pitching prospect in a talented Dodgers system, Stone fired five innings and allowed six hits, three runs, two walks and struck out 11 on the evening. The 23-year-old has been nearly unhittable this season and is 7-5 with a sparkling 1.56 ERA and 135 strikeouts in 98 1/3 innings. With Clayton Kershaw (back) sidelined and Ryan Pepiot struggling in his most recent start, it would seem that it's possible that Stone could get a chance, but there are no guarantees. If promoted, Stone is absolutely worth taking a chance on in redraft leagues, but his best value remains in dynasty leagues at the moment.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
