Jordan Love Inconsistent In Preseason Debut
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers backup quarterback Jordan Love completed 13 -of-24 passes (54%) for 176 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions in Friday's loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The former first-round pick got the nod in Friday's preseason opener against the 49ers. He took the field to begin the game and played the entire first half, which featured some mixed results. Love made some nice throws, including a well-placed touchdown pass to rookie Romeo Doubs in the first quarter. He also showed his ability to scramble, accumulating 24 yards on the ground, much of which came on a 12-yard run that produced a first down. Unfortunately, it was not all positive; Love still missed some routine throws and totaled three interceptions, one of which was egregious. While Love does not expect to receive any starts in the regular season, barring injury, he will need to improve his decision-making if he hopes to be the franchise's future.
