Shohei Ohtani Reaches Three Times Sunday
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani reached base three times on Sunday, going 1-for-2 with two walks, a run scored, and an RBI in a 4-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins. He was also caught stealing, his eighth time against eleven successful thefts. Ohtani has been the only bright spot on this Angels team for some time with Mike Trout sidelined, and the weak lineup around him has surely hurt his fantasy opportunity. Even so, he's a candidate for MVP in the American League with a .254/.349/.499 slash line and 26 homers while also putting together a 2.68 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with 157 strikeouts in 111 innings as a pitcher.
