2 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Martin Perez did not have his best control Sunday, walking five batters, but he still managed a quality start. Perez gave up three runs (one earned) on four hits and the five free passes with seven strikeouts in six innings of work. Perez has earned quality starts in five of his past six outings, and has a 2.79 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with 125 strikeouts in 142 innings this season. He's been a major fantasy value to managers who picked him up off the waiver wire in the early days of this 2022 campaign.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
