Eddie Rosario Sitting Out On Tuesday
2 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup on Tuesday against the division-rival New York Mets. Rosario was injured on Monday and will likely miss a couple of days, but the Braves expect him to avoid a trip to the injured list. With Rosario sidelined, Robbie Grossman is starting in left field on Tuesday and is batting ninth against Mets right-hander Taijuan Walker. Grossman has gone 5-for-19 (.263) with no homers, one RBI and a run scored in his first eight games in Atlanta after being traded from the Detroit Tigers. The 32-year-old veteran was plagued by injuries earlier in the year and hit just .205/.313/.282 with two homers, 23 RBI, 24 runs scored and three stolen bases in 83 games for the Tigers.
