2 years agoKansas City Chiefs wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and Mecole Hardman (groin) were both absent from warmup on Saturday, eventually missing the preseason matchup against Washington. Smith-Schuster is anticipated to return next week, so missing Saturday's game is still in line with that timeline. Hardman had a more optimistic outlook entering the weekend. However, it appears he'll need some additional time before he is ready to return to the field. Smith-Schuster is the favorite to lead this receiving corps, which includes Marquez Valdes-Scantling and rookie Skyy Moore. On the other hand, Hardman already has a rapport with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and since he has a skill set similar to Tyreek Hill, he has a chance to benefit immensely. Smith-Schuster may be a top-30 fantasy option, assuming he remains the No. 1 wideout on the depth chart. As far as Hardman, he is expected to have some inconsistent weeks throughout the year. Yet, he could be in store for his best season to date, especially with Hill now with the Miami Dolphins.--Josh Constantinou - RotoBaller
