JP Sears Improves To 5-0
2 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher JP Sears continued his charmed beginning to his major-league career, earning his fifth win in his 10th game and fifth start. Sears allowed one run on six hits and a walk in five innings of work against the Seattle Mariners. He struck out three batters. The left-hander, included in the trade package from the New York Yankees for Frankie Montas, has a 1.93 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with 23 strikeouts through 37 1/3 innings. He has yet to complete six innings in a start, but a bit more length would place the rookie squarely on the fantasy radar through the end of the season despite playing for the lowly Athletics.
