JuJu Smith-Schuster Remains Sidelined For Monday’s Practice
2 years agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) was unable to suit up for practice Monday, although he remains expected to return to the field later this week. Smith-Schuster is set to embark on his first season in Kansas City after inking a one-year deal in the offseason. Following the departure of Tyreek Hill, Smith-Schuster is expected to take on an even larger role in the explosive Chiefs offense, which gives the organization little reason to rush the 25-year-old back with over two weeks remaining before the regular season opener. Fellow newcomer Marquez Valdes-Scantling and longtime contributor Mecole Hardman will take on elevated roles in the passing game if Smith-Schuster were forced to miss anytime. K.C.'s preseason finale comes Thursday vs. Green Bay.
