Tyler Allgeier Has Six Rushing Attempts Against Jets
2 years agoAtlanta Falcons rookie running back Tyler Allgeier finished second on the team in rushing attempts in Monday night's 24-16 loss against the Jets with six. However, he had only 17 rushing yards and averaged 2.8 yards per rushing attempt. Cordarrelle Patterson is locked in as the No. 1 running back for Atlanta, while Allgeier is competing with Damien Williams, Qadree Ollison and Caleb Huntley for the primary backup role. Allgeier had 25 rushing yards on only three attempts in the first preseason game, so it's a bit disheartening to see him struggle against the Jets. Unless he has a noteworthy performance in the third preseason game, Allgeier is a late-round pick, at best, for fantasy managers in deeper single-year formats.
