Darick Hall To Be Optioned To Triple-A Tuesday
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman/designated hitter Darick Hall will be optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday in favor of an unannounced hitter, per the Athletic's Matt Gelb. The 27-year-old has slashed a solid .264/.296/.550 with nine home runs and 16 RBI in just 135 plate appearances this season, but almost all of those have come against right-handed pitchers. Consequently, Hall has not received every-day playing time. It sounds as though Hall will move to Triple-A to play every day and then could rejoin the team in early September when rosters expand.
