Albert Pujols Hits Career Home Run No. 693 Monday
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals first baseman/designated hitter Albert Pujols continued his torrid August in Monday's 1-0 win over the Cubs, going 2-for-4 with a single and a solo home run. Pujols clubbed a seventh-inning Drew Smyly fastball into the left-field seats for his 14th long ball of the season and the 693rd of his career. The future Hall of Famer has hit well this season and has been on fire in August, batting .472 with seven HR and 14 RBI. Pujols has proven that he still can help the Cardinals and fantasy managers offensively and is worth a look, as he is rostered in just 23 percent of leagues.
