2 years agoMiami Marlins closer Tanner Scott picked up his 18th save of the season in Monday's 3-0 win over the Athletics. Scott came in to pitch the ninth inning with a three-run lead. He got the first out on a groundout, allowed a single, got the second out on a force out at second, and got the final out on a strikeout. Scott has not pitched all that well this season but has maintained his closer role and has converted all but five save opportunities with a 4.32 ERA, 12.60 K/9 rate, and 6.30 BB/9 rate. The numbers aren't the prettiest, but fantasy managers can probably live with them given Scott's job security.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
