2 years agoChicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras isn't in the team's lineup on Tuesday for the first game of a doubleheader against the St. Louis Cardinals and right-handed starter Adam Wainwright. The 30-year-old is enjoying a strong season at the plate for both the Cubs and fantasy managers alike, hitting .248 with a .357 on-base percentage, 20 home runs, and four stolen bases in 446 plate appearances. It'll be Yan Gomes starting behind the plate and batting seventh against Wainwright instead. Gomes is hitting .228 with a .257 on-base percentage and six home runs in 206 plate appearances for Chicago this year.
