2 years agoThe New York Jets have decided to release kicker Eddy Pineiro on Tuesday. He was battling with Greg Zuerlein for the starting kicker gig. Pineiro did fine with the Jets last year as he only missed one field goal attempt in five games. However, it sounds like he struggled during training camp, so the Jets decided to go with the veteran kicker. Possibly, Pineiro lands elsewhere, but his fantasy value could be dependent on where he goes. To be honest, any kicker on the Jets isn't going to be a favorable fantasy option. This offense struggled to move the ball last season, but Zuerlein does have a strong leg. Possibly, he can carve out some fantasy value in New York, but there should be better kicker options available.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
