Xander Bogaerts Exits Tuesday With Back Spasms
2 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts (back) exited Tuesday's 9-3 loss to the Blue Jays in the top of the seventh inning with back spasms, per Providence Journal's Bill Koch. Bogaerts went 0-for-2 with a walk before being replaced by Bobby Dalbec. The 29-year-old has had an up-and-down season while playing through pain in his left wrist and left shoulder, slashing .298/.369/.439 with 10 home runs, 50 RBI, and seven stolen bases. Bogaerts should be considered day-to-day, although he will not be in Wednesday's lineup.
