Denzel Mims Formally Requests A Trade
2 years agoNew York Jets wide receiver Denzel Mims has requested a trade. Mims' agent, Ron Slavin, released a statement, stating his client "has been given no opportunities to work with the starting offense." The 24-year-old was selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Throughout his two seasons with the club, he hasn't been productive, racking up only 67 catches for 409 yards while failing to score a touchdown. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if the former Baylor Bear will actually be moved or if this situation can be repaired. However, Mims has reportedly been putting in extra work this offseason, so he's someone to keep an eye on, especially if he ends up on a new team with a stable quarterback.
