Romeo Doubs Quiet In Preseason Finale
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs finished with two receptions on three targets for 13 yards in Thursday's preseason loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. After tallying six receptions for 69 yards and two touchdowns throughout the first two preseason games, Doubs was silenced Thursday. While the rookie has generated a lot of buzz, he has struggled with drops in both games and practice. With quarterback Aaron Rodgers holding Doubs to a higher standard, stating, "The standard for him is not going to be the standard for a normal rookie we've had here in the past," this performance will have some pumping the brakes on the hype train. Still, with rookie wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) playing catch-up due to injury, Doubs will see the field in four-wide sets with a chance to earn a more significant role based on performance. He is a low-risk late-round flier in all formats.
