Dallas Keuchel Starting Saturday For Rangers
2 years agoTexas Rangers left-handed pitcher Dallas Keuchel will start Saturday against the Detroit Tigers after having his contract selected from Triple-A Round Rock. Keuchel was signed in July by the Rangers after pitching for both the White Sox and Diamondbacks earlier in the season. The 34-year-old has struggled mightily in the majors this season, compiling an 8.53 ERA and 2.03 WHIP over 50 ⅔ IP. For what it's worth, he has been good with Round Rock, where he has a 2.31 ERA in four starts. Detroit's lineup is about as close to a Triple-A lineup as you'll find in the majors, so there's a chance he has a decent start. Still, it's not worth the risk.
