2 years agoCarolina Panthers kicker Zane Gonzalez has been diagnosed with a "significant" and "long-term" groin injury, head coach Matt Rhule told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The injury occurred during Friday's preseason finale and has a chance to sideline Gonzalez for the entire season. Regardless of his timetable, it's clear that Gonzalez won't be ready for Week 1 against Cleveland. The Panthers have no other kicker on their roster, so they will surely peruse free agency for a new leg as the other 31 teams trim down their rosters over the next few days.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller
