2 years agoDetroit Tigers shortstop Javier Baez (back) was forced to exit early during Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers. Manager A.J. Hinch mentioned he removed Baez in the seventh inning due to back spasms. It sounds like he was taken out of the contest for precautionary reasons. It's also worth noting that this is a lingering issue that Baez has been dealing with for quite some time. This shouldn't be something that forces Baez onto the injured list.
