2 years agoThe Houston Astros intend to call up right-hander Hunter Brown when rosters expand on September 1. Brown is ranked as Houston's top prospect by MLB Pipeline and is the site's No. 71 overall prospect. The 24-year-old hurler has plus fastball velocity and also brings an elite curveball and quality slider to the table. The Astros appear to be planning to use Brown as a late-inning weapon out of the bullpen in the final stretch of the season if he acclimates well to the big leagues. Brown posted a 9-4 record, 2.55 ERA, and 134 strikeouts over 106 innings of work at Triple-A in 2022.--Matt T - RotoBaller
